Taiwanese tech giant HTC has confirmed the launch of its new mobile accessory – the BoomBass mini speaker.
Compatible with the company’s flagship HTC One smartphone, the additional features provides an extra low-end to the device’s already high-quality sound, which the company claims will provide a warmer, richer sound.

Although little information has been provided about the BoomBass mini speaker, HTC said the accessory will be on sale later this year, with rumours pointing to a price tag of around £60.
Consumers who are looking for a little extra from their HTC One are set to be in for a treat. At around three-inches square, the compact device will happily sit on your desk or into a bag for a trip to a friend’s house or to the park.
Accident-prone individuals can also rest assured that the item can withstand a few knocks and bumps, thanks to its rubber textured finish.

As for the product’s specification, rather than acting as a standard portable speaker, the BoomBass plays only the low-end sounds sent from the smartphone, while the mids and highs will still be played from the normal speakers.
This means that the bass is unlikely to distort the rest of the sound if you feel like cranking up the volume. Protect your other HTC devices with a custom made tough case.
In what has been rather a big week for HTC, the company has also announced the launch of its new mid-range smartphone – the Desire 601 and an entry-level device, the Desire 300.
The Desire 601 Spec
Coming with a 4.5-inch qHD display with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution, the Desire 601 is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, along with 1GB of RAM.
On the other hand, the HTC Desire 300 boasts a 4.3-inch WVGA display and features a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, also coming with 512MB of RAM.
