2017 marks the 10 year anniversary of the iPhone so it’s no surprise to us that Apple has something big up their sleeve in order to celebrate the occasion. Although the new phone will most likely be released in late September early October, there is already a huge amount of rumours on the horizon.

An iPhone completely different to previous editions
However, one thing that seems to be on everyone’s mind is that it is likely that Apple is about to release an iPhone that is completely different to their previous models. This could either be the iPhone X or the iPhone 8.
It turns out, Apple is bringing out the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X! You best start getting ready and designing your case now.
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be released earlier than the iPhone X, with an expected release date of 03/11/2017, whereas the 8 models will be released on the 22/09/2017. Click here to see the rumours for the iPhone X.
Rumours are suggesting that the iPhone 8 will have an edge-to-edge display that removes both the top and bottom bezels. This means features such as the Touch ID sensor and a front-facing camera is most likely to be built into the display, rather than a being a bezel. A similar feature with the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Despite these rumours, the future of the fingerprint sensor isn’t 100% secure as many people think that facial recognition technology will be introduced.
Better display performance whilst using less power
The actual display of the phone is rumoured to change from LCD to a flexible OLED. This will allow Apple to build thinner devices that consume less energy and power, therefore producing a better display with higher contrast ratios. Customise an iPhone 8 case here.
Is the iPhone 8 a suitable size?
Although we cannot confirm how big the phone is, the word on the street is that the display size may be 5.8 inch, which 5.15 inches of that being a usable space. The rest of the space is most likely to be dedicated to virtual buttons, replacing the home button that we all know too well. There is likely to be an iPhone 8 Plus too. Shop for your case.
Whatever the size of the phone, we will have phone cases ready for release so you can start customising an iPhone cover to provide ultimate protection and style. Check out our available cases – prices start from £14.95.
