Last month, South Korean smartphone experts, Samsung, revealed that they are releasing the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. Currently available for pre-order – out on Friday 16th March.
Samsung has previously announced that their next phone is a keen competitor for the iPhone X. Find out more.
There are many similarities between the two phones; however there are several differences that we should note.
Why do people prefer the Samsung Galaxy S9?
The always-on display feature means information such as time, date; battery level and notifications are on, even if the display is off.
Other Android models have this feature and it has proven popular, which Apple has not taken on board yet. Click here to see what features the iPhone X have.
The Samsung S9 offers more flexibility
Three features in particular give people extra flexibility in how they use their phone.
The fingerprint sensor, microSD slot and the headphone jack.
You can choose from the facial recognition, pass code or none if you decide not to. Also, to listen to your favourite music through your headphones, you don’t need to worry about bringing an adaptor – the same however, cannot be said for the iPhone X.
The Samsung S9 is available for pre-order from Carphone Warehouse and EE.
The low light camera is great for those budding photographers
Although the iPhone X camera is the best out of all the Apple models, the Samsung S9 has proven to be the best when shooting is low lighting/darkness.
In dim environments, the Samsung S9 was noticeably able to take clearer shots compared to the iPhone X. Depending on the lighting, you can adjust the aperture to f/1.5 or f/2.4.
What’s the price difference like?
When the iPhone X was first revealed, everybody was shocked as to how expensive it would be to purchase a 64GB model – £999.
The Samsung S9 is slightly cheaper at £739 and the S9 Plus is £869.
Whatever phone you decide to opt for, Wrappz can offer you a wide range of cases for both models!
